A&F Tries to Get Off “The Situation”

Jersey Shore’s Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino has been given an interesting offer by big-time clothing company Abercrombie and Fitch. In what we thought was just an offer to be their new “black and white pinup boy,” the company has asked the big “Guerrilla Juice Head” to stop wearing their clothes out in public. A&F stated in a press release on Tuesday:
“We are deeply concerned that Mr. Sorrentino’s association with our brand could cause significant damage to our image. We understand that the show is for entertainment purposes, but believe this association is contrary to the aspirational nature of our brand, and may be distressing to many of our fans.” (via CNN)
Abercrombie’s request comes with a substantial offering, and has even been extended to other cast members.
The Jersey Shore cast may have gotten the last laugh in what looks to be a big publicity “situation.”
Mike and “Pauly D” took to Twitter to express their thoughts, tweeting:
CNN reported that Abercrombie’s stock plummeted 8 percent after the press release.
