Chocoholics Rejoice!
Some of you may have already heard, but it may now be scientifically proven that dark chocolate relieves stress.
“Highly stressed” volunteers consumed 1.4 ounces of dark chocolate (70% or higher cocoa content) a day for two weeks. At the end of the two week period, their stress-hormone levels dropped. Amazing!
However, it looks like the study was only done on 30 people. I suggest we get a larger sample, and I am happy to be a guinea pig. Anyone with me? Clear the stores out of the last of their Valentine’s Day candy, and report back to me in two weeks.
