OMG
New additions to the Oxford English Dictionary this past week included: “OMG” “LOL” and “♥.” The folks over at Oxford English Dictionary recognize that these are not actually words and call them “initialisms” and explains that the expressions can be an “informal, gossipy mode of expression that can parody the level of unreflective enthusiasm or overstatement that can sometimes appear in online discourse.”
Another cool factoid: the first use of OMG appeared in a letter in 1917. And LOL goes back to 1960, but referred to “little old lady.”
“Muffin top” was also added.
I genuinely enjoy looking at on this internet site , it has got wonderful posts .
Its ridiculous how much more attention I get from the opposite gender now that I use easy diet plans!
