Trending Topics
Twitter is place where people of all demographics can come together to share information, ask for business advice, and compare their genitals to a movie. Yep. Twitter is a magical social universe where just about anything goes. Today, while browsing through tweets, we came across a hilarious trending topic that we thought merited recognition: #describeyourpeniswithamovietitle. First of all, who comes up with these topics and second of all, how do they become national trending topics?
Regardless, reading the responses keeps us thoroughly entertained. We especially enjoyed the following responses:
“Lethal Weapon”, “The Pink Panther”, “Lawrence of A Labia”, “Furry Vengeance” and the duh response, “Anaconda”.
So throw a hashtag in front of a phrase or series of words and Viola! you’ve got yourself a trending topic that can garner responses from people all over the country! What are some of the best tweets you’ve seen? Or are there any other trending topics that should be called out?
